JTR Mission Statement:

Summary of Position:

A Runner is responsible for running all food/beverages to the tables or deliveries to the apartments above the restaurant. Runners support the serving staff to allow them to focus on the guests. When not running food, Runners are responsible for the takeout counter. Runners must be able to take accurate and complete orders from guests in person and over the phone while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Phone etiquette and general friendliness are required, as well as a genuine enjoyment of interacting with people.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures
Greet guests quickly and with a smile, noting guests’ names
Engage guests about who we are and what we offer
Knowledge and memorization of plating specifications
Running and Clearing of all plates in the Dining Room/Bar/Private Rooms.
Opening and closing responsibilities of the assigned area including set-up, stocking, replenishing, and daily preparation
Able to carry trays with plates and glassware
Has an eye for detail
Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
Must be able to go up & down stairs
Knowledgeable in all Isla’s Kitchen products and offerings
Must be able obtain Tulsa County Food Handlers Permit
All other tasks/duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Be 16 years of age or older
Be able to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff
Knowledge of service, food, and beverage preferred
Be able to do basic math calculations
Have the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Have the ability to use stairs

Compensation: $6.00 per hour
